Waterways

Reliability and resilience is critical to ensuring the operation of water control assets for flood alleviation and maintaining navigable river and canal levels. The team at Fairfield Engineering Solutions (FES) provides Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) services and solutions throughout an asset’s life cycle from initial design and implementation of a new asset, the appraisal and improvement of and existing asset, to the replacement of an ageing or obsolete system.

At FES, we have assembled an Engineering team with experience throughout the waterways sector, who have worked with many Government, Local and Harbour Authorities in addition to private Asset Owners. We provide Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation (MEICA) services for many water management solutions, including:

Service Support & Frameworks

Availability of a water control system is paramount and the inability of an asset to operate when required can have serious and life threatening consequences to the public. In order to further support our customers, we offer tailored service and framework agreements comprising of routine preventative maintenance and emergency 24/7 365 day response. Dependent upon specification, our systems are supplied with the ability to be remotely accessed, especially in the waterways sector, as assets are often located in hard to reach areas – some even becoming inaccessible under certain conditions.
