At FAIRFIELDS, we recognise the value graduates bring to our business.
Our Graduates combine fresh thinking with strong technical knowledge.
Many graduates go on to make a lasting impact across our projects, teams and long-term contracts. In fact, almost 55% of our current engineering workforce began their careers at FAIRFIELDS as apprentices or graduates.
From the outset, graduates become part of a business that brings together engineering, control and digital expertise to solve complex challenges in demanding environments. We work on technically ambitious projects where practical problem-solving, collaboration, and long-term thinking matter. That makes FAIRFIELDS an ideal place to turn academic learning into real-world engineering capability.
We are committed to helping our people build long-term careers, not just gain early experience. Graduates are supported in their ongoing personal and professional development, including working towards Master’s level qualifications and Chartered Engineer status, with encouragement from the business throughout their journey.
We understand that graduates often join with a strong theoretical foundation but limited hands-on project experience. That is why we provide structured support from day one. In the early stages of their career, each graduate works alongside a Lead Project Engineer on major projects, gaining practical exposure from concept and design through to commissioning and installation. This approach helps build confidence, develop technical judgement and prepare graduates to take on greater responsibility as they grow within the business.
Working at FAIRFIELDS means becoming part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where you can contribute, learn and develop in a meaningful way. Our website content is designed to speak clearly to job seekers about long-term opportunities, career progression and development, so this page should emphasise both technical challenge and professional growth.
