Lincoln UTC Awards Night Sponsors

Fairfields was honoured to be an award sponsor at the 2016 Lincoln UTC Formal Awards Ceremony on 12th September. The awards were hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenter, Nicola Gilroy and were an opportunity for students and their families to join staff and selected business partners to celebrate the achievements of students in 2016.

Over the past 18 months, Fairfields have been working in partnership with Lincoln UTC by offering work experience placements to students and by giving course specific presentations at the college regarding the Control System industry and where their engineering qualifications could take them. The college’s vision is to develop the next generation of scientists and engineers by offering students aged 14-18 a high quality technical education, combined with core studies (Maths, English etc.) which then then provides employers with skilled young people. We have recently taken on what we hope to be the first in a long line of Apprentices from the college, Billy Hanner.

Fairfield’s sponsored the two ‘Industry Placement Award’ which were presented by Sales Director Oliver Mangham and Design Engineer Emma Roberts.
