FAIRFIELDS Renews North Yorkshire Council Swing Bridges Maintenance Contract Through to 2030!

FAIRFIELDS is pleased to announce the renewal of our maintenance contract with North Yorkshire Council, continuing our partnership to support the safe and reliable operation of some of the region’s most iconic swing bridges through to 2028.

The contract covers the maintenance of the Selby Town Swing Bridge, Cawood Swing Bridge, A63 Bypass Swing Bridge, and Whitby Swing Bridge, providing comprehensive support across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.

As part of the ongoing partnership, FAIRFIELDS will continue to deliver planned maintenance, fault response, and a 24-hour emergency call-out service, helping to ensure these critical assets remain safe, operational, and available for the communities and industries that rely on them.

We look forward to continuing our work with North Yorkshire Council, providing engineering expertise and lifecycle support to maintain the performance and reliability of these important transport links.
