This is an opportunity for a driven, ambitious and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team.  We welcome considered applications from hard working and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to work with likeminded people.

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the full delivery of various MEICA projects, working closely with the Engineering Director. The Project Manager provides a crucial interface with the client, internal design team and supply chain. This important position will be key to ensuring the successful completion of projects, both on-time and to budget.

The role will require the candidate to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity from Contract Award to Completion. A key objective is to provide continuity from the engineering design and procurement phase through to (and including) on-site installation.

The candidate will be part of the growing project delivery capability, including both managers & supervisors, who will work together to ensure we meet our delivery objectives.

The Project Manager will also be expected to support bids & proposals for future works.

The Role

Key Purpose: Project Management and Site Coordination

  • Manage the delivery of a number of large, complex projects, having overall commercial and delivery responsibility for designated projects.
  • Effectively manage relationships with customers, suppliers & subcontractors and provide a commercial interface with clients
  • SHEQ overview, management and execution
  • Develop and maintain project plans and schedules
  • Track project deliverables and provide regular reports to management, clients and key stakeholders
  • Monitor and progress contract amendments, compensation events, early warnings and technical queries through to conclusion
  • Subcontractor appointment and management
  • Facilitate and run effective project review meetings
  • Project risk assessment (cost/delivery/conditions)
  • Contract performance and control
  • Ensure sites are suitably managed
  • Ensure designs present minimal risk to health and safety and the environment during manufacture, delivery, installation and end use

The Candidate

  • Min. 5 years’ experience in turnkey M&E project/site management
  • Hold a SMSTS or equivalent
  • Must be from an Engineering background with suitable vocational Engineering qualification
  • Experience in working with the NEC and MF1 form of contracts
  • Willing to travel and work away from home
  • Self-motivated and organised
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • First Aid qualification
