Two More Apprentices Graduate
Apprenticeships at Fairfields
Fairfield’s are proud to announce that two more apprentices have successfully completed their Apprenticeship programme at Fairfields. Andrew and Danny have now moved into full time and permanent engineering positions within the company; Andrew has relocated to the South West Office to become a Service & Design Engineer whilst Danny has become a Design Engineer in the Projects Team at Head Office.
Apprentices and ex-apprentices currently make up around 30% of the total workforce and we have retained over 90% of our apprentices as full time employees over the past 17 years. We offer award winning Advanced and Higher Apprenticeships in electrical engineering and ICT systems engineering and take on up to 4 new Apprentices each year, usually on a 3 year programme to attain an HNC and HND qualification.
Both Andrew and Danny have now chosen to further their qualifications through a 2 year part time top up BEng degree course in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, which will be sponsored by Fairfields. They can continue to earn while they learn without the burden of student debt. Throughout their apprenticeships, both Engineers have proved themselves to be real assets to the company and will continue to be an strengthen the teams they are now working in.
