National Women in Engineering day is a record breaker!
To celebrate 100 years of women in transport and to raise awareness for the National Women in Engineering Day, hundreds of women in engineering and technology job roles took part in a Guinness World Record attempt for the most people performing a jumping high five simultaneously. This was achieved by 864 women at Horse Guards Parade in London.
Fairfields has a number of female engineers and Emma Roberts, one of our Design Engineers, took part today. She was interviewed by TFL (whilst wearing a fantastic t-shirt which read ‘Engineering – not just for boys!’ and had a really great day. There was much coverage over social media with #NWEDhigh5 trending on Twitter.
