Fairfields is leading infrastructure projects for the Environment Agency‘s Asset, Operation, Maintenance & Response (AOMR) framework across the East, South East, and South West of England. In our commitment to delivering Lot 2 – MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation), we are seeking an experienced Framework Delivery Manager. This pivotal role is key to the successful execution of complex/major MEICA projects within the framework, supported by dedicated Contract & Project Managers in each region.

The Role

Key Purpose: Ensure the framework's successful delivery in accordance with the Framework Agreement and technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Framework Delivery: As Framework Delivery Manager, you will ensure the framework’s successful delivery in accordance with the Framework Agreement and technical specifications.
  • Leadership and Decision Making: Serve as a leader, capable of making tactical decisions, managing the team effectively, and overseeing project completion.
  • Programme Management: Oversee large programmes of work and/or large contracts to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contract Management: Managing contracts commissioned by the client, primarily using NEC4 ECC or ECSC, supported by dedicated Contract & Project Managers in each region.
  • Commercial Performance: Work closely with regional contract managers and our commercial team to oversee the framework’s commercial aspects, focusing on delivery, invoicing, and managing changes effectively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Sub-contractor Network: Build and manage a network of subcontractors, ensuring strong, collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including clients and partners.
  • SHEW Performance: Oversee the Health, Safety, Environmental, and Wellbeing performance, maintaining the highest SHEW standards.
  • Resource Management: Ensure the availability of sufficient resources to meet the Framework and Call-off Contracts’ requirements.
  • Framework Review Meetings: Prepare and present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) internally and externally, and actively participate in regular client framework review meetings.

Sites and Assets:

Manage a variety of sites and assets, including pumping stations, flood and water gates, sluice gates, and various control and automation systems.

Service Specialisms:

Projects will encompass services such as pump installations and repair, water control structures installations, switchgear, motor control centres installations, and other MEICA-related works.

The Candidate

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least ten (10) years of relevant experience in a leadership role within similar projects.
  • Proven experience in managing frameworks, large programmes of work, and/or large contracts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MEICA services, NEC4 contracts, and project management principles.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A commitment to SHEW excellence.
  • Travel flexibility required
  • Minimum Qualification: At least HNC or equivalent in a relevant field.
